Jazz Band

This is a performing ensemble of advanced musicians who work with the artistic and technical aspects of contemporary Jazz and Big Band music. The group will meet at the beginning of the second semester and determine if there is enough interest. This is not a class, so the director will need to determine rehearsal days and times. Musical styles to be studied include Latin, Swing, Bebop, Rock, Funk, Fusion and other popular styles. Music theory along with improvisational performance techniques will be a large focus of this group.
